Hepatitis C New Treatments Course for Primary Care Providers

Overview

The Australasian Society for HIV, Viral Hepatitis and Sexual Health Medicine (ASHM) is hosting free training, which aims to describe new hepatitis C treatments. This interactive course will provide primary care practitioners with the skills and knowledge to confidently diagnose, treat and manage hepatitis C.

This course will cover the patient and prescriber eligibility for the new interferon-free treatments regimens listed on the PBS S85 (General Schedule) from 1 March 2016.

Completion of this course will assist primary care medical practitioners to confidently prescribe these new hepatitis C treatment regimens in consultation with a specialist. Participants will be provided with resources, protocols and support.
