Gender and Trauma Informed Transformative Practice seminar

Overview

This free seminar focuses on evidence-based approaches to caring for women with complex mental health and trauma issues.

It will be highly valuable for research and clinical staff and other frontline workers in the health, justice, and social services sector whose work covers alcohol and other substance use prevention among women, pregnancy and FASD, mental health, perinatal depression and the influences of trauma on maternal health and child development outcomes.

The seminar aims to support workers to understand, recognise, and respond to the effects of different types of trauma (including vicarious trauma) and creating psychologically and culturally safe environments to support individuals in strengthening/transforming their lives.
