An Introduction to Motivational Interviewing

Overview

Motivational interviewing (MI) is a client-centred, evidence-based practice for alcohol and other drug (AOD) treatment. At the end of this day workshop, participants will be familiar with the theoretical framework of MI and be able to practice skills to develop a collaborative ‘change conversation’ in their workforce, in order to support clients struggling with AOD use. For this reason, participants should be qualified clinicians working with clients using AOD.

While this event is free-of-charge, places are limited and application for an event does not guarantee acceptance. All events will be held in Perth and venue details will be provided at confirmation of your acceptance for an event.
