Community Forums (Youth Diversion and Drug Rehabilitation Services)

 

Overview

The Aboriginal Legal Services (ALS) (NSW/ACT) is hosting a series of community forums to assess the adequacy of youth diversion programs and the provision of alcohol and other drug (AOD) rehabilitation services in regional, rural and remote communities in New South Wales (NSW).

Nine forums will be held across the state between 20 November and 13 December 2017.

The forums are designed to encourage community members to have their say on whether youth diversion programs and drug rehabilitation programs are effective in keeping Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people out of jail, and keeping local communities healthy.
