An Introduction to AOD Prevention Within Communities

 

Overview

This workshop will provide an introduction of the principles and models required to understand and apply alcohol and other drug (AOD) prevention strategies to facilitate effective community action.

Participants will also be introduced to the basics of how to plan, implement and evaluate prevention activities, and engage stakeholders in the community to address AOD-related concerns.

This workshop is suitable for human service providers (including clinical workers) who have a role or interest in prevention.
