World No Tobacco Day 2018

 

Overview

Each year on 31 May, the World Health Organisation (WHO) mark World No Tobacco Day (WNTD), an opportunity to highlight the health and other risks associated with tobacco use, and advocate for policies to reduce tobacco consumption.

In Australia, there are a number of events happening to mark WNTD, particularly in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. Get in touch with your local Aboriginal Medical Service/health organisation to ask what's happening near you.
