Culturally Secure AOD Practice - Featuring IRIS

 

Overview

This two-day workshop aims to build cultural capacity when working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who use alcohol and other drugs (AOD).

Designed for both Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and non-Indigenous workers, the courses promotes a culturally-secure AOD framework and approach to direct practice. Participants will learn how to use the Indigenous Risk Impact Screen (IRIS) and associated brief intervention tools, as well as practical tips, tricks, tools and resources for use in everyday practice.

Participants must register to attend this workshop.
