Communication, Consultation and Competency in Clinical Skills (4C's) Program

 

Overview

Target audience: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers and Health Practitioners, nurses, midwives and medical officers

Course summary: The Communication, Consultation and Competency in Clinical Skills (4C's) workshop is designed to increase the confidence and capacity of the health professional to use the Primary clinical care manual (PCCM) or CARPA standard treatment manual (CARPA), to accurately document health care episodes and consult with doctors and nurses about client care to deliver safe, quality care in the remote setting.

The course is flexible and interactive and delivered in a face to face environment.  It has a focus on using the PCCM/CARPA in everyday presentations at remote health services with an emphasis on using the guidelines for chronic disease health checks and consultation with a medical officer.
