Brighter Futures (NSW)



The Brighter Futures program is an early intervention program designed to build the resilience of families and children who are at risk in New South Wales (NSW). It is delivered by 14 lead agencies and Department of Community Services caseworkers across NSW, and helps connect families to the services they need. (Contact details for the 14 agencies are provided in the links below.)

As part of the program, a Brighter Futures caseworker or lead agency works with parents to plan for the services that will best support their family. Services and supports include:

The Brighter futures program provides resources about their program which serves to support families with children aged 8 years and younger who are dealing with specific difficulties. These include domestic violence, parental drug and alcohol misuse, parental social and emotional wellbeing problems, lack of extended family or social support, parents with learning difficulties or intellectual disability, child behaviour management problems, and lack of parenting skills or adequate supervision of children.
