Alcohol and other Drugs Withdrawal Services

 

Overview

The Northern Territory (NT) Alcohol and other Drugs Withdrawal Services for Darwin and the Top End operate out of the Royal Darwin Hospital in the Northern Territory.

Outpatient and outreach withdrawal services are available for individuals who wish to withdraw from:

Clients are assessed by a medical team to identify the best withdrawal option. The AOD withdrawal services team provides medication (if needed), support and counselling.

Withdrawal may take place at the Royal Darwin Hospital (for high risk clients), in supported accommodation (e.g. Banyan House or the Salvation Army) or include home visits.
