Healthy Lifestyle and Tobacco Cessation Program

 

Overview

The Healthy Lifestyle and Tobacco Cessation Program aims to promote and educate the importance of good nutrition and exercise and the negative effects of smoking to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the Alice Springs, Northern Territory (NT). Services provided by the program can include:

The broader aim of the program is to provide a number of services that raise awareness of chronic disease, with a focus on preventing such disease through a healthy diet, an active lifestyle and smoking cessation.

The program is designed for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People of all ages, smokers and non-smokers.
