Brighter Futures (Qld)

Overview

The Brighter Futures program aims to provide support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and young people in the Cherbourg and Murgon communities of Queensland (Qld).

The program includes alcohol and other drug (AOD) counselling for young people and provides a range of other family supports. Local Elders play a key role in the program, as well as other services in the community, which aim to help young people get their lives back on track, and reduce the effects of AOD on family members.

The program doesn't require a referral, and there is no cost for participants.

Brighter Futures is run by Lives Lived Well out of their Kingaroy office.
