Drug and Alcohol Through-Care Service (DATS)

 

Overview

The Drug and Alcohol Through-Care Service (DATS) is an assessment, counselling and referral service for offenders in Western Australia (WA), pre and post release. DATS participation is voluntary for offenders and is operated by Cyrenian House and Holyoake, with support from:

DATS is currently available for offenders at the following prisons:

The program is usually offered to offenders three months before the time of release and provides counselling and support from six weeks to six months after the time of release. For prisoners to access the service, they need to contact the Transitional Manager at the prison they are in. For offenders based at Acacia Prison who would like to access the program, they will need to contact the Resettlement Manager.
